The thing nobody tells you
GoRaleigh tells you where the bus goes. Transit and Moovit tell you when it'll arrive. Nobody tells you what's within walking distance of each stop. If you ride Route 33 to get groceries, see a doctor, pick up a prescription, or hold down an evening shift, that gap matters more than the schedule.
This portal closes that gap. Each stop has its own page with what's a 1 to 10 minute walk away, plus how late the last bus runs so you can plan the trip home.
All 22 stops on Route 33
Listed from west (New Hope Commons in east Raleigh) to east (Upward Dr near the Knightdale and Wendell line). Every physical stop serves both directions of travel. Stops with detailed walkable-area pages are linked below. The rest will fill in as riders confirm or suggest places via any stop page's feedback forms.

Don't miss the last bus
Service runs Daily (Monday through Sunday), with the first eastbound trip around 05:45 and the last trip leaving the western terminus around 22:59. Weekend and evening service is sparser. Always verify the trip at goraleigh.org/maps-schedules before relying on a late bus.
How this works
Where the data comes from
Stop locations and the official schedule come from GoRaleigh's public GTFS feed (updated 2026-03-13), the same data Transit and Moovit use. Nearby businesses are drafted from public sources (Google Maps, OpenStreetMap, business websites) so the page is useful from day one. Those drafts wear a Public source badge.
How riders confirm it
An entry loses the Public source badge and becomes Rider confirmed when a rider clicks "Confirm this listing" on the stop page. Confirmations land in our inbox along with the date they were there. After 90 days, listings get flagged for re-confirmation, because hours and openings change.
How to flag a problem
Every stop page has three forms at the bottom: Confirm a listing, Report a problem, Suggest a place. Submissions land in our inbox and we update the data within a few days.
Route 33 FAQ
Is GoRaleigh Route 33 the same as the old KRX (Knightdale-Raleigh Express)?
Effectively yes. The former KRX has been reconfigured as GoRaleigh Route 33L Knightdale. Today it operates as a local east-west route between east Raleigh (New Hope Commons) and Knightdale, rather than a downtown Raleigh express. To reach downtown Raleigh, transfer to other GoRaleigh routes at New Hope Commons.
How often does Route 33 run?
Approximately every 30 to 60 minutes during the day, with gaps widening in the evening and on weekends. Check the official GoRaleigh schedule for current trip times. GoRaleigh also publishes data to the Transit app and Moovit.
How is this different from Google Maps or Moovit?
Google Maps shows you businesses but doesn't care which ones you can actually walk to from a bus stop. Moovit and Transit show schedules but not destinations. This portal answers the question those tools skip: once I step off the bus at this stop, what can I actually do on foot? Every nearby entry includes a real walking time, hours of operation, and a rider-confirmed date once a local has vouched for it.
How can I help keep this updated?
Every stop page has three forms at the bottom: Confirm a listing (you were just there), Report a problem (something's wrong), Suggest a place (we missed one). Submissions land in our inbox and we update the data within a few days.
